由等摩爾的苯亞磺酸與NaOH（配成40%的氫氧化鈉水溶液），在30～40 ℃下攪拌2 h，濃縮，冷卻結(jié)晶，過濾，真空干燥得成品。
將苯磺酰氯、焦亞硫酸鈉、水和氫氧化鈉在pH=3.5～8.5、50℃下還原成苯亞磺酸鈉，經(jīng)脫色、過濾、冷卻至15℃，分離硫酸氫鈉，用30%鹽酸在15～20℃酸析成苯亞磺酸，水洗，再加堿中和成鹽，得苯亞磺酸鈉為無色片狀結(jié)晶 [1] 。

1. 用于醫(yī)藥，電鍍工業(yè)及感光材料的合成
2. 用于食品，飼料防腐劑
3. 聚合粘合增強劑、增塑劑，用于聚酰胺、環(huán)氧樹脂、酚醛樹脂增塑和改性，用于油墨、粘合劑、指甲油、涂料 [3] 。
4.為光亮鍍鎳初級光亮劑。其具有顯著降低鍍鎳層晶粒尺寸的作用，能使鍍層產(chǎn)生光亮，使鍍層延展性良好。一般用量為0.1～0.3g/L [1] 。
